Coping strategies: communicative practices of mobile specialist professions in service and gig economy

Artistic interventions emphasising experiences, creativity and collaborative knowledge building are a fast growing trend in the contemporary working life. For artists, this development has opened up new opportunities to provide gig-based training and consulting services for organisations across the sectors. Our project, drawing from conversation analysis, discourse studies and communication studies, explores artist-developers as a new kind of hybrid workforce that reflects the profound changes in the working life ‒ the rise of the gig economy in particular ‒ and in the practices of professional interaction and self-presentation.
